5 Guaranteed Ways to Get 90+ in Physics Board Exams
I know board exams are going on, sleepless nights may have become a general norm for CBSE Class 12 students but in spite of all the hardwork that you have put in, there remains an element of fear about the D-Day. From what I've heard from students, Physics is the general nemesis for a lot of them and a major chunk of our fear is directed towards it only. But here I have discussed a few short techniques which would help you sail through this sea of fear and would improve your grades tremendously, if not now then in the next cycle of examinations. You may wonder about the utility of those concepts and laws learnt in classrooms in actual life situations, to an unscientific mind, it may hold no utility at all but always remember that understanding of the universe is impossible without understanding of Physics and its laws.
Self Belief:- If you aren't good at something, then firstly try to remove its fear from your mind as when you feel that you are not good at something, you try to escape from it by trying to devote less time to it and more time to other subjects. Rather, you should devote the most of your time to Physics.
Concept Building:- Everything is fragile until the foundation isn't strong. Same is the case with Physics, if your fundamentals of the subject are not strong, then the path to glory in Physics would be a distant dream. So, drive your main attention to concept building by firstly completing the conceptual books, like the NCERT or other reference books, which would improve the basics of the subject and if your basics are strong, then you would be able to understand the further theory more easily.
Online Education opens many new doors |
Online Content:- Most of the people don't realize the immense importance of online content on education. There are a plethora of resources through which you can learn and practice about the different topics which would not only strengthen your fundamentals but also help you boost your confidence. So, try to watch YouTube videos on the topics which you face problems in, as in my opinion, there are some really top notch educators available on that platform.
Practice and Numericals:- Physics is a subject which demands regularity in both the theory and its application in the form of numericals, so you should firstly try to go through the reference books at least twice or thrice in order to be able to comprehend the theory properly and simultaneously look at the numericals as well to check if you are able to apply those concepts in different situations.
Continuity:- This is a self- explanatory point. Continuity and regularity is as important as the practice and concept building, because for many, these concepts are quite volatile, so it should be continuously revised and revisited from time to time.
Therefore, it is not a big problem that you aren't too good at Physics, infact most of the people aren't initially good at it, you just need to work continuously on the basics and the applications of theory and try to solve as many numericals as you can which would not only improve your understanding but also give you the confidence to be able to manage the subject properly. Remember everybody has a fear but the strong are those "who don't fear about their fear".
Some of you would say that it's all fine that Physics is an integral part of everything we see, or hear, or feel and it is necessary to understand it to the fullest but if I just can't get the concept of the subject, then how would I be able to understand all those "phenomenon". That's where the catch is, people very often say that they have no interest in something because they aren't good at it but being good at something and having an interest for something are entirely different things. This feeling of not being good at something catalyses the sense of fear and hatred towards it. The same is the case with Physics, students, when they don't understand any concept of it, they feel that they have no interest in the subject and the subject is not made out for them. This is the bigger problem, I believe, because interest and passion are never inherited, they are grown. Growth of interest takes place through sheer hard work. So, whenever you feel that Physics is not made for me or vice-versa, just concentrate on the above two lines.
